Bull Dikes Have Their Way with Weevils, 5-1

By Mad Cow · July 26, 2008 · Filed in Weevil News

One week after the debilitating loss to the arch-rival Ringers team, the Weevil franchise was ready to get back on track playing against another one of the current middle-of-the-packers, the Bulldogs. Plenty of bugs were in attendance and spirits were somewhat high pre-game. Defeat did not seem imminent. However, this team is currently lacking that spark to turn games around and come-back wins are just not in our collective bags right now.

The first period was legit. Lots of hard work on both ends of the ice. The Bulldogs strike first, but hard work in front of their net on several opportunities nets the Weevils a tying goal before the end of the period. The second period completely got away from us as the Bulldogs rushed our fences and shat all over our yard. No pooper scoopers in sight. We were still putting good pressure on their net minder, but to no avail. The third period was just as fruitless and saw several more Weevil opportunities fall by the wayside and a couple more Bulldog goals put the Weevs in a state of pure civil disobedience. Lots of squabbling between shifts, unnecessary penalties and what’s becoming the norm (again!!!)…the third period eye gouging and wedgie session with opposing players. I hasten to say we did not initiate the hate, but no one would believe us anyway.

But it’s not the inevitable cat fights with other teams that has me concerned. It’s our internal state of disarray that is tearing us down from the inside. We need to mend those fences, tote those lines, patch those blemishes and persevere in order to bring ourselves back to the greatness that we are due!! And when all else fails, when those doors are closed, when those seas are treacherous, when everything around us appears to be falling down….we have one shining light that we can still look to. And it’s not in the bottom of a Miller Light can….no. And it’s not in the cushion of the passenger seat of Myze’s car….no. And it’s not under Huevos’ bath mat towel that he lays beneath his tender feet in the locker room after every game so as not to contract any smegma type of foot disease….no. It’s a 20 year old shining symbol of all that is good and perfect with the world….located about 50 feet from the front doors of the Factory Icehouse….inside an establishment known as Ziggy’s….standing behind the bar schlepping drink to ogling, drooling, smelly senior hockey types….and it’s name is Sarah!!!! Hot Damn!!!!

Ziggy’s, Vincent’s and Chiefs are left. We need to look to the light and find our inner Weevil. Let’s start our hot streak now as the playoffs begin to loom large on the horizon. Sarah’s counting on us…..

You suck Cow!!

UNI is starting a fall team

SAN you find a new lake erie chick? or banging your female boss?

where’s the story?

story is we suck 9 shots zero goals

what about Zarby and Diddle? I know you’re too tentative to get anything done on the ice. Who’s signed up for the labatt tourney in sept. I may be down for that…hopefully closing on my damn house any way.

Zarby had like 10 scoring chances. Diddle was not present.

Neither was cow, and that alone could cause a loss.

Or should that cause a victory? My greatest input can sometimes be not stepping on the ice to keep the scorers out there instead of the forecheckers…

Cow not being there is definitely the issue. Without his double bladed skates you guys don’t stand a chance out there. Still waiting for old man skatch to step up his game. Being 60 is no excuse for playing like such a gabadouche.

I need to be surrounded by talent . If you expect me to carry load forget it

Weevils south team starts in 2 weeks

I am even more tentative without #89 out there on the ice pushing me

you playing for Erie Otters yet?

They heard I was coming to town and made me an offer. I get a baker’s dozen of donuts for every game played including healthy scratches.

You beat me to that one, Sattora.
