Sattora’s Quest for Champion Jacket is Still Out of Reach
We lost in a shoot out, after a hard fought battle against a surprisingly good team. 4-13 is their record to date, and 2 of those wins in the playoffs. I hope they beat the Beavers next week.
For 2 and 1/2 years we have all worked very hard and deserve a pat on the back. It was great playing with you guys and I hope we will meet up again. I am going to miss the nights in the parking lot and the jokes bordering on politically incorrect in the looker room. I am really starting to feel like Toronto here. We never took home the cup, but the Weevils shall live on.
Thank you to Cow, Pinna, Yow and San, Bmoore, Browneye, Rich and Ved, Skatch, Huevos, Myze and Char, Uni, Zarby, and of course thanks to Mich who held down the fort and gave us a fighting chance in this league.

Sorry about the loss guys. Sick, unattached right arm, and a skate with no blade is no excuse. The fact is I will never reach my dad’s accomplishments in beer league hockey. He could always drink more beer, eat more chicken wings with high content of hot sauce (with a little blue cheese for the flavor), and shoot a better game of pool & darts. I guess being the king of all bar games and being part of a championship C team is not in the cards for me.

Look how long it took for Brett Hull and Mark Howe to surpass their fathers. Your best beer league games are still to come as the over 30 and 40 year old leagues will soon welcome you with open arms. As far as the beer sand wings goes you have nothing to be ashamed of. I do have to admit though that I also kick your ass in Risk, Monopoly, and poker.
