Shootout Win with 6 skaters and 2 cripples. Big thanks to Zarb who made sure our line changes were quick and our hustle lasted most of the game. And of course to our big cheerleader Ved, who held down the bleachers. The first star of this game is giving to the one and only Mich, who even kept them scoreless in the shoot out with 2 great saves.

In the locker room the air was filled with underdog. But since March Madness showed us that even a bunch of gabadouches can win against a highly favored team, we still had some shred of hope. The room was scarce with only 6 skaters and a goalie, giving us plenty of space to dress out and extra hooks to hang our hats.

If you look at pointstreak, we had a great night! Beating the Brew Crew twice, 9-0. And beating the Vetted Mazepa’s 5-4 in a shoot out. What a system! The night started with Sattora and 3 others bearing down on the goalie with a 4 on 1. But of course all three were shouting for San to bury it instead of pass, so he did. The next goal for the Weevils was scored by … Sattora! He was on fire, and being fed these cookies by the true Irish jig, Bmoore. The third goal was scored by Bmoore, I think, due to the accuracy of Schrek the time keeper. We were down 4-3 with little time to go, when Bmoore threads a pass to San who takes it into the zone. Luckly, he slowed down to allow Diddle to get to the net and then banked the pass off of his stick and into the net to tie the game at 4 with 1 minute to go. But low and behold, the refs and scorekeeper decide to give the Mazepas a free magical goal and all of the sudden the score reads 5-4…? After some arguement and recap, they decide that they only scored 4 and told the refs such which sent us into a shoot out.

In the shoot out, San scores the first one easy giving us the advantage. Of course Mich shuts the door on the way back. Then Bmoore breaks the goalie’s leg with his incredible skirfing technique and backhands the final nail to give us the win.
