She Looks Like a Busted Can of Biscuits
Our girlfriend, Hockey, was wearing a tube top tonight to celebrate our playoff winning streak. But with a 5-4 loss to end the season… she looked more like a busted can of biscuits. Goals were going in our net like baby batter through pslow’s diaphram. And lucky #7 got straight up lucky with our tube top wearing girlfriend tonight. We were not short on players or defense tonight as Sattora setup a strong plan of, “My line will play O and the rest of you bugs can play D”. Several of our bugs crawled back to Raleigh from Charleston after draining their energy and more than a few pitchers before last night’s game. Getting all the way to the final game and blowing it, their second place prize was the HIV.
First Period ~
The puck drops and we decided that the best use of our time out is right now! I guess the reason for this would be the fact that our goalie is still slapping his sac around in the locker room. Good strategy! After Slow-ass gets on the ice we come out strong as Pslow throws a few great saves before Teno rallies a goal on the other end. Of course Bmoore touched this one, as he likes to touch everything in his race to Zepa-ness. Holding onto the fat rolls, Lucky #7 rode their first one in on our BBW like a wave to pop a backhand over slow’s shoulder. This is when I tell you that we take over and dominate the rest of the first period… and it was true! Other than a weak penalty given to Skatch for massaging someones 9 pound botox boys rubbed to a shine. After we got Skatch back, Zarby and Todd put on a show around the net. Zarby gets one out front and Todd puts it away, backhand to put us up by 1.
Second Period ~
Early in the second period, the Dream Team, consisting of Pinna-Sattora-Moore, play some bing bang boom and put us up by 2 making everyone breath a little easier. Unfortunately the Rangers come back in the end of the period to score 2 goals in 3 minutes. Our defense broke down and let 1 through that Slow could have stopped but he would have had to put down the performance enhancing paraphernalia. The last one was a jumper from outside that made Slow look… well, Slow! We end this period tied at 3 and talking about how much we really want this game on the bench.
Third Period ~
Who comes through? Pinna thats who! Turk 182.
Pinna gets a sign from Zarby, but he shakes it off. The next sign is for fastball, but he shakes it off. Curve? Nope. Only one left, 4 fingers slap the inside of Zarby’s left leg and Pinna takes his stance. He then proceeds to throw the best knuckleball this side of the border. After a few minutes the puck reaches the net and the goalie is just baffled by the speed and movement of this masterpiece. This puts us up by 1 in the last period! Lets take this home fellas. But wait! Rohan steps up to Lucky and forces a pass. Diddle tries to cut this off, but it gets through to its recipient and Diddle spins and slaps Myze style at the puck jarring it loose and sending it torward Pslow. Pslow stops the puck but looses sight of it and lets it trickle through. Like slow motion, Diddle stops the puck at the last minute before it crosses the line but gets hit in the back and kicks the puck back into the net to tie it up for the Rangers. To finish off the game the Rangers put another one in the net past the Slow and end our season.
Well it looks like we were not the only ones with a bad game, as the Rebels lost too! Looks like the Bad News Bears vs Average Joes this year in the finals. Well the year was great and winning is fun! So lets try to do this again and take it to them in the playoffs next year. Maybe one of our Weevs and beat Zepa’s point total.
Thanks to the fans that showed up, and to Neil who came with a broken hand and a fan named Bob. Thanks to Teno for the beers and Universal for always having our back. Zarby puts out for the pipping hot sheets and is truly becoming a classic Weevil.
Good write up Diddle and good season boys. If we can start stringing together some longer stretches of wins, we’ll lock it up in future seasons. Keep up the hard work and lets all come back next season for another run at the title…not scoring title, not penalty title, not longest shift title….let’s come out as a team every game and play for the guys next to us. If it ain’t fun, it ain’t worth it…so let’s all make a concerted effort to make it fun for everyone. A future diatribe on the season is in the making…stay tuned to the forum for this seasons bovine breakdown…
