Lost: Scoring, If found please return to Weevils

The Weevils suit up early Tuesday night ready to take the ice against Team Factory. Mad Cow was on his best behavior this evening and did not have any one liners for Teno in the locker room. And our beloved Chuckles was in town, gracing us with his presence and getting a good dose of a team who can actually drink beer. The only MIA was Weber who was probably grilling out with the FLOH.

Time to play some hockeys! As the first period started, we had a great set of wing lines with Teno & Traitor Zarb, Icejew & Pinna who all worked very well together. Sattorasan was strong in the middle… or is that big around the middle? With Johan showing up to play some great center position as well. As usual Myze was in the box.. and drives a box. Guess that fits well. Our defense lines were also solid with the old pair of Toad & Cow, and Diddle & B Late. With Chuckles in the rear of course!

The game and the puck prove to be ours, but the minder for the other team has his goal blocked off like an overprotective father over his 15 year old daughter on her first date. Although our shots peppered the 15 year old, he held strong until Myze got frustrated enough to take a penalty and give them a chance to score. Although Myze was not the only one to get their turn painting the box Maroon, Zarb and Pinna also helped in this endeavor. The first two goals they scored were on power plays with an extra man in front, manhandling Chuckles while Pinna sat by and wondered who was going to take the puck and pass it to him for a shot.

All in all the game was tight and well played by the Weevils. I even saw the Icejew pass 2 times! Although he did steal Johan’s shift about 4 times giving Chernobyl plenty of time to sit and ponder his next face off. Next week we take on the Eye Care Center, maybe their goalie will not show up. That is the only chance we have with the way we shoot.
