Alera Weevils Get Kicked in the Face by the Renegades

9-3 Loss. Swain picked up the first goal all by himself with no one else on the ice. During a change, Phil decides to take the puck all the way down the right side and faces the goalie one on one. He takes a roaring snapper that finds the top right corner and puts us in the lead against the Renegades in the first. This lead is very short lived as number 24 comes in unattended and gets one back. Not sure how many more were scored in the first period by the other team buy it was not pretty. The defense worked real well together and the offense was putting great pressure up front. Huba worked the backcheck the best I have ever seen on this team and Bill even covered back on D! It was really looking good, until a few squirt through goals downed our confidence and Lindenberger just kept getting unlucky. Bad bounce here, screened shot there, if we could help this guy out it would be nice.

In the second period, Urbano was really getting fed up with this number 24, taking several penalties and putting us down a man. Though this didn’t seem to faze us because Diddle takes the puck up the middle and 360s around a defender backhanding the puck right to James who was waiting patiently at the back door. Knock Knock, Who’s there? Willis. Willis Who? Willis cock fit in your mouth? Cause you just went down. Schaffer scores short handed and makes the score close at 6-2! Several more chances to throw hits on number 24 during this period proved to be very sress relieving for Diddle and Urbano with a big open ice hit from Balzer sending 24 into a tailspin at center ice. Also several Renegades tried to knock down Flynn the Wall and ended up on their own asses.

We had some great scoring chances and breakouts by Peck, Peter & Decooman who was all over the ice. But to no avail as we could not penetrate there defense. Which sounds like a Friday night out for Balzer. Urbano was now steaming over number 24 as he comes in on the right side and makes Mark fall down with the mad skills, goes around and shoots from an impossible angle which somehow finds the back of the net. The game ends in the same fashion as we go down again in a 9 point scoring game for the opponent. Getting the patrey brothers healthy and Timmy ma su back will help us achive at least one victory this season, I can feel it.
